contemplating change
Sometimes change seems impossible. Other times it seems inevitable. Yellow Springs is in a time of possibilities where we know we must act yet we lack sufficient resources. It is important to be kind to ourselves in this time and gather patience as we gather the resources needed. Instead of maxing out the school's credit for the next 37 years under the current facilities plan, my candidacy advocates an alternate plan suggested by the School Facilities Task Force. This plan would implement improvements to the facilities in phase with funds set aside over time through a permanent improvement levy. By taking this course, we can get to needed improvements in good speed without sacrificing valuable assets such as Mills Lawn School and its well-loved playgrounds. Further we improve our future prospects by building upon our village's history and wise investments.
